青春痘好發的年齡有兩階段一在青春期，另一則是在更年期；戰痘的過程是往往都不堪回想，處理不當卻在臉上留下永恆的紀念－痘疤！首先我們要先了解痘疤的型態和類型，才能對症下藥。痘疤形成是由於處理青春痘時，不當的外力擠壓或青春痘的感染發炎所造成，當青春痘發炎反應越嚴重，而皮膚組織也將破壞得越厲害 ; 其發炎的部位越深，皮膚組織被破壞得也更深層，將來可能留下的痘疤也就越嚴重。
